That's why we've developed a range of covers to suit different needs. Whether you're a devoted cyclist, a cycling commuter or a recreational enthusiast who loves to ride for fitness and leisure, we have the perfect level of protection for you and your bicycle.
CycleSmart™ Bicycle Insurance will cover your bike against accidental damage, fire and theft. We'll even cover you for any legal liability for damage to other people or their property.*
To help you decide what level of protection is best for you, you can choose from three levels of cover:
- Recreational cover
- Commuter cover
- Elite cover
Recreational / Commuter / Elite covers
We will provide cover if your Bicycle is:
- accidentally damaged, or
- burnt, or
- stolen from a locked building, or
- stolen whilst securely locked to a fixed object, or
- stolen from within a locked vehicle.
Third party liability cover is also automatically included with all CycleSmart™ Bicycle Insurance covers.
Third party liability cover
CycleSmart™ third party liability cover insures you for up to $1,000,000 including legal costs and expenses, for loss or damage to someone else’s property, or death or bodily injury to other people as a result of any one accident during the Period of insurance involving your Bicycle anywhere in Australia. This cover is also extended to any other rider using your Bicycle with your permission.
Commuter & Elite
We extend cover to include Accessories which are accidentally damaged or if they are stolen when the Bicycle is stolen.
Elite
We extend cover to include:
- when you are using your Bicycle for racing, and
- any accidental damage to carbon fibre components or components made of similar material.
If a claim is made and accepted, Swann will either:
- repair your Bicycle, or
- pay you the cost of repairing your Bicycle, or
- pay you the Agreed value of your Bicycle, or
- replace your Bicycle.
